Galvanized sheet mechanical properties

Mechanical properties and chemical composition

1. Tensile test:

①Performance indicators: Generally speaking, only galvanized sheets for structural use, drawing use and deep drawing use have tensile performance requirements. Among them, galvanized sheets for structural use require yield point, tensile strength and elongation, etc.; for tensile use, only elongation is required.
② Test method: The same as the test method for general thin steel plates.

2. Bending test:

Bending test is the main item to measure the process performance of thin plates, but the requirements of various countries' standards for various galvanized sheets are not consistent. The American standards do not require bending and tensile tests except for the structural level. In Japan, bending tests are required for all products except structural grade, building corrugated panels and general corrugated panels.
① Requirements: It is generally required that after the galvanized sheet is bent 180 degrees, the zinc layer shall not be detached from the outer surface, and the base shall not be cracked or broken;
② Test method: For the sampling location and quantity, please refer to the relevant product standards listed in this article. The bending angle is 180°. For the ratio of the inner spacing to the thickness of the test sample, please refer to the relevant product standards listed in this article.

3. Chemical composition:

The requirements for the chemical composition of galvanized sheet substrates vary from country to country. For example, Japan does not require it, while the United States does. Generally, finished product inspection is not required.

Galvanized sheet packaging

It is divided into two types: galvanized sheet cut into fixed lengths and galvanized sheet packaging in coils.

It is generally packed in iron sheets, lined with moisture-proof paper, and tied to a bracket with an iron waist. The bundling should be secure to prevent the galvanized sheets inside from rubbing against each other.
