ASME SA387 is a chromium molybdenum alloy steel plate intended primarily for welded boiler and pressure vessels designed of elevated temperature service.
ASME SA387 GR.22 CL1 Pressure Vessel Steel plate Descriptions:
A387 Grade 22 CL2 under steel specification standard ASTM A387/A387M and ASME SA387/SA387M are popularly used for welded boilers and pressure vessels designed for elevated temperature service.The main different between steel plate SA387 Grade 22 CL 1 and SA387 Grade 22 CL 2 is the mechanical properity,for pressure vessel steel plate A387 Grade 22 CL 1,the tensile strength shall be 415-585 Mpa,minimum yield point is 205 Mpa.And for pressure vessel steel plate A387 Grade 22 CL 2,the minimum yield strength shall be 310 Mpa,tensile strength within 515-690 Mpa.

Heat Treatment for SA387 Chrom Moly Alloy Steel Plate 

Chrome moly alloy steel plate under ASME SA387 shall be killed steel, with thermally treated either by annealing, normarlizing and tempering. Or in case agreed by buyer, accelerated cooling from the austenitizing temperature by air blasting or liquid quenching, followed by tempering, minimum tempering temperatures shall be as below table:
