H-Beams are steel beams made of rolled steel in the shape of the alphabet "H".They are fabricated as built-up units. The flanges are welded to the web to form the H-section. H-beams are also called wide flange beams.H-beams have greater web thickness compared to I-beams. This increased thickness gives strength to H-beams.H-beams are used for spans of up to 330 feet that can be built up to any size and height.

ASTM A572	High-strength, low-alloy steel with improved corrosion resistance and higher tensile strength.
ASTM A992	Structural steel with enhanced strength and excellent weldability.
JIS G3101	Japanese standard for general structural purposes. It has low carbon content and good weldability.
EN S275	European standard for structural steel with moderate strength and good machinability.
EN S355	European standard for high-strength structural steel with improved corrosion resistance.
GB/T 700	Chinese standard for general structural purposes, including low carbon and high-strength options.
GB/T 1591	Chinese standard for high strength low alloy structural steels with various grades available.
